Mrs. Vera R. Kettles, 65, of 2109 Miller, died at 7:20 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital. She had been ill since last February.
Mrs. Kettles was born Dec. 26, 1889, in Buchanan and came to Niles from Michigan City, Ind., in 1919. She was a life member of the Sylvia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Buchanan.
Surviving are: her husband, David; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Huckins, of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Cornelius Schuyler, and Mrs. Russell Allen, both of Niles, and a son, Fred Kettles, of Capistrano, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Pifer Funeral Home here with the Rev. Chester M. Wetzel, assistant pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
