Charles L. Davis, 74, of 206 Woodruff street, died at 8:30 a.m. todyy at his home after a 14 year illness.
He was born at Claypool, Ind., on Feb. 15, 1879, and come to Niles 35 years ago from Burkett, Ind. He was married on Feb. 11, 1904, to Elva warren who survives.
Also surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Corey of Niles; a son, Vertice, of Marion, Ind.; . . .[illegible} . .. Chester of Burkett; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the First EUB Church of which he was a member. The time is still to be determined. The Rev. G.A. Steeby, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the residence beginning Sunday evening.
