Joseph J. Gilbert, 82, of 2520 Yankee St. died at 7 a.m. today, in the Oak Manor Nursing Home. He had been ill three months.
Mr. Gilbert was born Aug. 30, 1879, in Bertrand Township and was a lifetime resident of the area.
Surviving is his widow, Laura. He was a member of the New Century Rebekah Lodge No. 351 and the Odd Fellow Lodge.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Bailey pastor of the Carson City Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
