Raymond Shaner, Father of Nilesite, Dies in Penn Twp.
CASSOPOLIS, June 2—Raymond Arthur Shaner, 82, father of Elmer Shaner, Niles, died in his home in Penn Thursday morning.
He was born in Darke county, Ohio, May 6, 1862, the son of Frederick and Celesti Shaner. He was married Oct. 24, 1895 to Miss Alta P. Crandall, who survives him
Surviving besides the wife are six children, Elmer Shaner, Niles; William Shaner, Fort Wayne; Leroy Shaner, Penn; Melvin Shaner, Alma, Mich.; Mrs. Leona Aikins, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Wilbur Harkins, Dowagiac; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Connelly funeral home, where services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 by the Rev. Billy Lewis. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

SERVICES SATURDAY
Services for Raymond Arthur Shaner, 82 of near Cassopolis, father of Elmer Shaner, Niles, who died in his home Thursday, were conducted in the Connelly funeral home at Cassopolis, Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Silverbrook cemetery.
