Millicent Morros, 48, formerly of Niles, died unexpectedly on Monday morning, March 4, 2013 in Goshen, Ind.
She was born on July 21, 1964, in Niles to Mervin and Sharon (Swartz) Morros.
She graduated from Niles High School in 1982 and received her associate’s degree from Southwestern Michigan College. She moved to Goshen in 2007 and was continuing her education at Goshen College. She was currently employed at the law office of Yoder, Ainlay, Ulmer & Buckingham, LLP in Goshen and had previously been employed for many years at the former Sheller-Globe Plant in Niles.
Millicent enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR, especially the driver of car #88, Mr. Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and the Dallas Cowboys football team. She was interested in elephants, collecting items related to that animal. She loved baking, especially Christmas cookies; and tending the vegetable garden and cherry tomato plants.
Surviving family includes her parents, Mervin and Sharon Morros; sister, Shelby Engelberg; and brother, Vance Morros, all of Niles; nieces, Shannon (and Carl) Albaugh, and Jennifer Morros; nephews, Derrick Morros, Joshua Morros and Brandon Willard; and a great-nephew, Nate Albaugh.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Valorie Morros, who died on Feb. 14, 1990.
The family of Millicent Morros will receive relatives and friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. Interment will take place on a later date at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.
Contributions in memory of Millicent may be made to the scholarship fund at Goshen College.
