HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO ASMUS
A heart attack resulted in death for George L. Ausmus, 62, life-long Niles resident, at 7 this morning in his home at 1518 North Twelfth street.
An employe in the cab department of the New York Central railway, he was born in Niles Dec. 18, 1882. He was married here on June 1, 1904 to Anna Knott. He was a son of Charles and Mary Ausmus.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Pfc. Thomas Ausmus, with an anti-tank unit in France; a daughter, Mrs. George Hibbard, Niles; three grandchildren, [illegible] Ausmus and Joan and Steve Hibbard, all of Niles; a sister, Mrs. George Knott, Niles, and two brothers, Arthur Ausmus, Niles, and Edward Ausmus, Grand Rapids.
He was a member of the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, the Eagles lodge, and the Railway Pioneers.
