Funeral services for Wesley Monroe King, 86, of 210 Bertrand Road, Niles, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bertrand Bible Church by the Rev. Robert A. Freitas.
Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
Mrs. King died at 5:24 pm. Monday at Pawating Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 23, 1904, in South Bend, Ind., and had lived in Niles for 80 years.
He was a retired welder of Edwards Iron Works, South Bend, Ind. Mr. King was the oldest attending member of Bertrand Bible Church.
He married Marguerite Prytz in 1926; she preceded him in death in 1971. On Sept . 19, 1971, in Niles he married the former Mary I. Davis Shriver, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, James W. King of Niles and Robert W. King of Kansas city, Mo.; a step-son, Ernest D. Shriver of Niles; two sisters, Ruth Ehlenfeldt and Ida May Brock, both of Niles; two grandhcildren[sic]; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be from 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Halbritter Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bertrand Bible Church.
