NILES--Mrs. Agnes L. Northrop, 82, of 1814 Kilarney[sic] Ln., died at 2:15 a.m. today at Berrien General Hospital. She had been in ill health for several years.
Born May 15, 1888 at Torrington, Conn., Mrs. Northrop had lived at Niles since she came here seven years ago from Stratford, Conn. Her husband, Archie, died in 1950. She was a member of the Niles Golden Age Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Jean) Canavan of Niles, a brother, Harry Pidge of Sparks, Md., and a grandson.
Graveside rites will be conducted at Silverbrook Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Robert Trenery, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday.
