Funeral services for Alma R. (Deweiler[sic]) Hosler, 89, of Fishers, Ind., will be on Monday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home and also on Sunday, at Randall and Roberts Fishers Mortuary, Fishers, Ind., from 2 to 5 p.m.
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
She died at The Hearth at Windermere in Fishers, Ind., on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1915, in Congerville, Il. to Joseph B. and Sarah (Ummel) Detweiler.
Hosler worked in the Niles Public School System as an elementary and junior high music teacher for over 30 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a graduate of Illinois State University. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gama Society Pi Chapter, choir director at St. Johns Church of Christ, and a volunteer for the Niles Literacy Cetner.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Fleck of Fishers, Ind.; a son-in-law, David Fleck of Fishers, Ind.; a sister Ruth Kelley of Bloomington, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Fleck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold R. Hosler, and a sister, Nina Saar.
