Ira E. Regenos, French Paper Co., Ex-Employe, Dies

 

Ira Elmer Regenos, 69, of 411 Michigan street, died late Wednesday night in a Kalamazoo hospital according to word received here today.

A former night watchman for the French Paper company, Mr. Regenos was forced to give up his work about a year ago because of illness.

Born in Warsaw, Ind., he had lived in Niles for the last 40 years. He was an active member of the First Evangelical church.

He leaves his wife, Elizabeth, four sons, Elmer, Paul, Robert and Arthur, all of Niles, five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Walls, Mrs. Maude Lucas, Mrs. Cletus Meyers, Aelene Regenos, Niles, and Mrs. Dolph Odforne, Berrien Center, Another son Ray died several years ago.

Mrs. Regenos also leaves a brother, Charles, Claypool, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. John Kurtz, Warsaw, and Mrs. William Schue, Portland, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Price and Kiger funeral home with the Rev. A.R. Kuehn, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday.

REGENOS RITES

 

Final rites for Ira Elmer Regenos, 69, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday after noon in the Price and Kiger funeral home with the Rev. A.R. Kuehn officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. A resident of Niles 40 years, Mr. Regenos died Wednesday in a Kalamazoo hospital.

REGENOS RITES

 

Members of the family served as pallbearers at 2 o'clock this afternoon for the funeral of Ira Elmer Regenos, 69. Services were in the Price and Kiger funeral home, with the Rev. A.R. Kuehn officiating. Burial was in Silverbrook cemetery. Mr. Regenos died Tuesday in a Kalamazoo hospital.

 

Note: Death Record gives date of death as Dec. 27, 1937 (Tuesday) and burial Dec. 30, 1927. "Wednesday" in obituary and death notice is probably error.
