MRS. LOUIS HAHN
Passed Away last evening after Brief Illness
Mrs. Marietta Hahn, widow of Louis Hahn, passed away at 11:30 o'clock last evening at her home 108 south Fifth street.
Mrs. Hahn Had been a sufferer from a complication of diseases for almost a year, but it was only three weeks ago that her condition became serious.
Mrs. Hahn was born in Bertrand Mar 23, 1840. She was married in Buchanan to Mr. Hahn and resided there for a number of years before coming to Niles 30 years ago.
The deceased was the mother of four children and of these three are left to mourn her demise as follows: Arthur Hahn of Jackson; Edward Hahn of Marshallton, Ia., and Mrs. A. Fisher of this city.
Today marks the fourth anniversary of the death of Mr. Hahn.
The demise of Mrs. Hahn removes a lady from the community who will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends. She was of a quiet and retiring disposition but ever ready to relieve distress or do a kindly deed and the gracious hospitality dispensed in her own home was one of her most charming attributes. She was a life long member of the Methodist church and when health permitted was active in the affairs of the church.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. Rev. R.A. Wright will officiate. Interment will occur at Silver Brook cemetery.
