NILES--Ora Lee Erving, 68, of 2016 Fulkerson Rd., died at 11:20 a.m. Friday at Pawating Hospital after a short illness.
A member of Mt. Galilee Baptist church, Miss Erving was born Sept. 15, 1906 in Sunflower, Miss. A homemaker, she moved to Niles in 1944, coming from Detroit.
She is survived by a cousin, Naomi Carter of Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pifer Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev.M.D. Forrest of Mt. Galilee Baptist Church officiating.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
