Harry W. Phillips, Sr., 46, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday at his  home, 1024 Bame Avenue, after an illness of several months.

Born April 3, 1911, at Oldham, S.D., he came here 25 years ago from Warsaw, Ind., and at one time was employed by the French Paper Co.  Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth; four sons, Harry W., Jr., Robert and David, all of Niles and Jack Phillips, stationed with the U.S. Navy at Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Barbara, of Niles, and a brother, James, of Niles.

Friends may call at the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 4 pm. Saturday by the Rev. Chester Wetzel, assistant pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Silverbrook.
