NILES--William McGuirk, 77, of 1309 Barron Lake Road, died at 2:10 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital after an illness of several months.
A retired employe of the Niles City Police Dept., Mr. McGuirk was born July 3, 1892, in Niles and had lived here all his life. He was a veteran of WWI, serving with the Army.
Mr. McGuirk is survived by a niece, Mrs. Dorothy Bunker, Niles; a sister, Mrs. Adam Kinnfluy, Newport Richie, Fla., and a half-sister, Mrs. Belle Davis, Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert M. Trenery of the Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
