Funeral services for John W. Warr, 58, of 4935 Shifri, Memphis, Tenn. will be held on 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, by the Rev. Richard L. Rice.

Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.

Warr passed away on Monday, at his home, unexpectedly--but of natural causes.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1942 in Bolivar, Tenn. to William Bryant Warr and Mary Lou Moody.  Mr. Warr has lived in Tennessee most of his life; living a few years in Niles in the 1960s.

Warr is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Kennedy of Niles; three sisters, Dorothy Moody of Jasper, Ala., Mary Statler of Peerland, Texas, Virginia Szucs of Niles; two brothers, Kenneth Warr of South Bend, Ind., George Warr of Niles; several nieces and nephews.

She[sic] is preceded in death by his father, Willam Bryant Warr, who passed away in 1993 and brother, Thomas Warr, who passed away on 1983 and an infant niece.

Mr. Warr was raised in the Baptist faith and he enjoyed fishing.

He was formerly employed at the Memphis store of J.C. Penney Company.
