Funeral services for Joseph W. Lynd, 71, of 3090 Lawrence St., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. John Carlton, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
He died at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pawating Hospital, where he had been a patient since Oct. 17.
Mr. Lynd, a retired salesman, was born Jan. 21, 1892, in Toronto, Ont. He came to Niles from Marshall in 1926.
Survivors include his widow, Lilian; two sons, Adam, Niles, and Joseph, San Marino, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Casper Burns and Mrs. Don Jerue, both of Niles, and Mrs. George Bingham, Kalamazoo; three sisters, Mrs. C. Clark and Miss Elizabeth Lynd, both of Toronto, and Mrs. Frank Umlauf, Girardville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the funeral home.
