    Alfred E. Zordel, 53, of 2603 Lake Shore Drive, branch manager of the St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company in Roseland, Ind., died at 6:15 p.m., Sunday in Pawating Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
    Zordel, former employe of the First National Bank in Niles and secretary of the Berrien County Banker's Association was born April 7, 1902, in St. Joseph and came to Niles from Baroda about 31 years ago.  He was a member of the Roseland, Ind., Lions Club, the Niles Elks Club, past president of the Niles Lions, and former treasurer of the board of trustees of the First Presbyterian Church.
    Surviving are his wife, Florence; a son, Donald Zordel, of the Michigan State Police in South Haven; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Day, of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren; two brothers, William Zordel, of St. Joseph, and Edwin, of Kenosha, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Herman Tollas, of Baroda.
    Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church with the pastor, Dr. T.M. Greenhoe, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home here until Wednesday noon.
