Daniel L. Kingston, 1308 Broadway, a retired engineer for the New York Central railroad died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday at the United Memorial Hospital at Greenville, Mich. He had been ill for one week.
Kingston was born in Niles on Sept. 20, 1880. He lived in Niles his entire life. Following his retirement from the railroad he served as a police school guard. He was a member of the St. Joseph Valley Lodge No. 4, F. & A.M., and the Pioneer Association of the Michigan Central Railroad.
Survivors include the wife, Lulah, three children, Mrs. Georgianna Starr of Akron, O., Mrs. Earl Minnear and Mrs Theodore Wienke of Niles; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a brother, Charles H. Kingston of Spooner, Wis.
Friends may call at the Kiger Funeral Home after 7 p.m. tonight. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. , Wednesday at the Kiger funeral home with the Rev. L. George Beacock officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
