Alden Bayles
February 22, 1903-October 25, 1968
Mr. Alden Bayles, 65, of 447 S. State St. died at 10:50 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness of several months.
Mr. Bayles, a retired engineer at Bendix Corp., was born February 22, 1903, in Michigan City. He had lived here since 1910. He was married to the former Ruth Gassner on Nov. 15, 1942, in Mishawaka.
Mr. Bayles was a past master of St. Joseph Lodge F. and A.M., past patron Order of Eastern Star.
He is survived by his widow, three sons, Donald, Lorin and Gary, all of Niles; a half-brother, Russell of Niles, and a step-brother, Roscoe Clark of Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Halbritter-Swem Funeral Home. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Full Masonic Rites will be administered by the St. Joseph Valley Lodge F.and A.M.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
