Mrs. Jos T. Barker, residing on the Edwardsburg road four miles east of Niles, died very unexpectedly last night, in the 31st year of her age. She leaves a husband and five little boys, the oldest of which is about nine years, to mourn her untimely death.

The funeral of Mrs. Barker, who died near Edwardsburg, occurred at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The burial took place at Silver Brook cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary McGill occured[sic] this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B.F. Hutson.  Rev. Thoms. Cox, of the Methodist church delivering the sermon.  The remains were interred at silver brook[sic] cemetery.

Note:  Burial was Thursday, July 21. This is in part of paper recapping past week.

Roach, Margaret

Mrs. Margaret Roach, 91, of 529 Sycamore St., died yesterday in her home. She had lived most of her life in Niles.

Mrs. Roach was born Jan. 25, 1877, in Toronto, Canada, and came to Niles from Indiana. She was married to Arthur Roach, who died in 1933.

Mrs. Roach was a lifetime member of the Niles Musical Club, the Eastern Star and a past Worthy Matron.

Survivors include two granddaughters: Mrs. William Frank of Dearborn, Mich. And Mrs. Rowland Jackson of San Bernardino, Calif., and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home with Rev. George L. Beacock, former pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.

Weaver, Eva B.

Mrs. Eva B. Weaver, 88, of 122 Parkway St., died at 9:20 today in her home.  She had been ill for two years.

Mrs. Weaver was born Dec. 15, 1879, in Berrien County and spent her lifetime in this area. On Nov. 28, 1900, she married William N. Weaver, in Niles. Mr. Weaver died May 4, 1951.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, The Women's Christian Temperance Union and of the Golden Age Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edmond Holmes and Mrs. Marguerite Benjamin, both of Niles; two sons, Donald and Lynn, both of Niles; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Grace Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard F. Putnam officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Halbritter-Swem Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday.

INFANT'S RITES SET

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday in the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home here for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Webb, of 902 Michigan Street, who was stillborn today at Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend. The Rev. Theodore Laesch, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Williams, Ivan D.

Funeral services for Ivan D. Williams, 78, of 2902 Hoyt Drive, Niles, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Halbritter Funeral Home by the Rev. Rodger L. Peck of First Missionary Church.

Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Mr. Williams died Saturday at his home as a result of a fire in his house.

He was born Feb. 13, 1913 in Niles and lived in this area all his life.

Mr. Williams was retired from Hunziker's, Inc. and had worked at the City of Niles Street Department.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Gwen Hopper of Niles, and Lucille Grice of Eau Claire; a sister, Eileen Coatsworth of Garden City; a brother, Melvin P. Smith of South Bend, Ind.; 12 step-grandchildren and 22 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Church.

Yeager, Donald P.

INFANT DIES

DOWAGIAC—Donald P. Yeager, two-month 0old son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yeager, Twin Lakes, died at his home Friday night.

The child was born December 15, 1957, in South Bend.

Surviving are his parents; a sister, Lena, at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. William Yeager, Niles; his maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Alvah Squires, Dowagiac' and his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Clark, Niles.

Funeral services will be held today at 9 a.m. In the McLauchlin Funeral Home, Dowagiac. The Rev. William P. O'Leary will officiate.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
