Mrs. Dortha Lucas Dies at South Bend
Daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Scofield, 515 Howard street, Mrs. Dortha Welch Lucas, 36, of Osceola, Ind., died suddenly Sunday evening at 6:20 in St. Joseph hospital, South Bend, four days after giving birth to a son, John Mason Lucas.
Born in Toledo, Ill, Feb. 20, 1908, Mrs. Lucas lived in Osceola for seven years.
Surviving are the son, the husband, Thomas; her mother, Mrs. Anna Welch, a brother, Fred L. Welch, and a sister, Mrs. Yvonne Gise, all of Washington, D.C., and her father, Edward Welch, Mattoon, Ill.
