Mrs. Carrie Contois Boehm, 317 Ontario street, died at 2:30 p.m.  Sunday at the Bundy rest Home after hour months' illness.

She is survived by one son, George Contois, of Niles; one stepson, John Boehm, Benton Harbor; two grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. H. C. Swihart, Great Falls, Ont.

Mrs. Boehm was born on Aug. 10, 1879, in Thornbury, Ontario, Canada, and came here from Chicago in 1919.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday , and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.  Officiating will be the Rev. L. George Beacock, Methodist pastor and the Rev. Hugh Lee, pastor of the New Apostolic Church.

 

Blanchard, Almond G.

Almond G. Blanchard, 2405 Yankee street, died at 6 p.m. Saturday in his home. He had been ill for some time.

Surviving are his wife, Maude, and one daughter, Gussie, at home. Blanchard, was born on Sept. 12, 1872, in Flint, and moved here  from South Dakota about 409 years ago. He was a retired farmer and was a former justice of peace in Howard Township.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Barnett, Albert

Albert Barnett, 89, whose widow, Martha, is a former Niles resident, died Tuesday at 11:15 a. m. in North Hollywood, Calif.

Mr. Barnett was born Oct. 8, 1874, in Cornwall, England.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kiger Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. MacLachlan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p. m. Sunday.

Albright, Eloise

ELOISE ALBRIGHT, 51, STRICKEN FRIDAY

Mrs. Eloise Mary Albright, 51, of 1204 Broadway, died in Pawating hospital at 8 Friday night after an illness of four months.

Born in New Paris, Ind., Nov. 20, 1891, she was married March 11, 1913, to Clifford Albright at Greenville, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Mrs. George Lewis and Mrs. Omer Miller, Niles, and Norma Jean and Joan Albright.

Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home where services will be conducted at 4 Monday afternoon by the Rev. Theordore Laesch. Burial wil be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Serve as Casketbearers

Earl, Kenneth, Charles, John and Samuel Burge and Carl Billett, served as pallbearers this afternoon at the funeral service for Mrs. Eloise Mary Albright, who died late Friday afternoon at Pawating hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. Theodore Laesch in the Pifer funeral home and burial was in Silverbrook cemetery.

 

Allen, Leora

Leora Allen, five-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Allen, 2915 US-31 North, died at 8 p.m. Monday in Pawating Hospital, where she had been a patient one day. She had been ill four days.

She was born Jan. 20, 1963, in Berrien Center.

Other survivors include a sister, Sandra, and three brothers, Charlie Mack, Albie and Kenneth Lee, all at home; and grandmothers, Mrs. Leora Hockett, Union City, Tenn., and Mrs. Effie Tyree, Detroit.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiger Funeral Home. The Rev. Theodis Hadley, pastor of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends are being received at the funeral home.

 

Antisdel, David J.

David J. Antisdel, 81, of 712 Ferry St., died at 7:40 a.m. Monday in the Berrien County Hospital, Berrien Center. He had been ill four days.

Mr. Antisdel was born Oct. 16, 1881, in Buchanan. He came to Niles from there 40 years ago.

Survivors include four sons, Lewis, LaPorte, Ind., earl and Edward, both of Niles, and Robert, Dowagiac; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Fuller, Buchanan, Grace Antisdel, Decatur, and Donna Antisdel, Napanee, Ind; a brother, Floyd, Buchanan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Pifer Funeral Home. William Taylor of the Jehovah's witnesses will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight.

Arrick, Dale Lynn

Dale Lynn Arrick, 12 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Arrick, 1331 Howard St., died at her home at 6 a.m. today. Other survivors include a sister, Janice, at home; her paternal grandfather, Hervey Arrick; Rockford, Ill., and her maternal grandfather, John Dickson, Niles.

Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Fraser, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, will officiate.

Burial in Silverbrook Cemetery.
