ROY DEAN HEYEN, Darden Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:23 a.m. Sunday at Parkview-Holy Cross Hospital, Plymouth, Ind., after he committed suicide.

Heyen was employed by the Computer Support Division of Hewlett-Packard Company, South Bend.

He was born July 17, 1957, in Springfield, Ill., and lived in South Bend since 1981, coming from Mt. Prospect, Ill.

On July 18 in South Bend, he married Karen L. Nyborg, who survives.

Also surviving are: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Heyen of Mt. Prospect; three stepsons, Kristopher and Kelly Byler, both of Niles, and Kirk Byler of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Byler of Niles and Kirsten Byler of South Bend; a brother, Keith Heyen of Mt. Pleasant; and one grandchild.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Halbritter Funeral Home with Rev. John Staples of Community Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Mary T. Schrader, 83, of 3266 W. Valley View Dr., St. Joseph, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. At the Pifer-Smith Funeral Home in Niles by Bruce Tanner of St. Joseph Church of Christ.

Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Mrs Schrader died Wednesday afternoon at his[sic] home. She was born April 11, 1912, in South Bend, Ind.

On March 2, 1935, at South Bend, she married Lawrence A. Schrader, who preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1981.

Mrs. Schrader was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Schrader of St. Joseph; a son, Larry A. Schrader of St. Joseph; three sisters, Josephine Quick of Berrien Springs, and Victoria Litty and Ann Montz, both of Niles; and three brothers, John Litty of Dowagiac, Herman Litty of South Bend, and Fred Litty of Niles.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Family services for Flora M. Seielstad, 87, of 266 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, N.Y., will be held at graveside Thursday at 3:30 p.m., at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, by the Rev. Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman of First Presbyterian Church in Niles.

Mrs. Seielstad died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Memorial Hospital in Albany, N.Y., following an extended illness.

She was born May 25, 1907, in Forfar, Scotland, and had lived in Corte Madera, Calif., fromm 1959-1992, then moving to Latham.

Mrs. Seielstad was a member of First Presbyterian Church in San Anselmo, Calif. She was a member of the Coast Guard Wives Club,and the Corte Madera Library Association.

Her husband, Harold Douglas Seielstad, preceded her in death.

Other survivors include two sons, H. Douglas Seielstad of Schenectady, N.Y., and George A. Seielstad of Grand Forks, H.D.; either grandchildren, and a brother, Andrew R. Mollison of Niles. A son, David B. Seielstad, preceded her in death.

There is no visitation.

Funeral services for Millie L. Foster, 94, of 3233 M-140 N., Niles, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Niles, by the Rev. Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman, pastor.

Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Mrs. Foster died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, at Regency Place in South Bend, Ind., following an illness.

She was born Feb. 27, 1901, in Niles, and was a lifetime resident here.

On Oct. 21, 1933, at Lansing, she married G. Ray Foster, who died Nov. 28, 1966.

Mrs. Foster was a former teacher for Hatfield School and Cherry Street School in Niles.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its What-So-Ever Class; a 75 year member of the North Niles Home Extension Group; a member of Fernwood Botanic garden, and a member of Southwestern Michigan Genealogical Society. Mrs. Foster was founder of the Fairland 4-H Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Cook of Gahanna, Ohio, and Margaret Smith of Niles; a son, George foster of Eden Prairie, Minn.; three granddaughters, Miss Cassia Foster of Texas, Miss Susan Cook of Ohio, and Miss Sherilyn Smith of Michigan; three grandsons, Tim Foster of Orange, Calif., and David Smith and Brian Smith, both of Niles, and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.

Family services for Mrs. Ollie I. Stedman, 84, of 1342 Barron Lake Road, Niles, will be held at Halbritter Funeral Home by the Rev. Lowell Black of First Church of Christ-Christian.

Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Mrs. Stedman died at 1:15 a.m. Monday at Silverbrook Manor in Niles, following an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 4, 1910, in Pollard, Ark., and had lived in Niles since 1940, coming from Missouri.

She was married to Valerian B. Stedman, who died July 21, 1989.

Mrs. Stedman was former owner of the Koffee Kup in Niles.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dena Kennedy and Mrs. Wanda Metcalf, both of Niles, and Mrs. Billie Jackson of Stevensville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Beverly Miller of Bourbon, Ind., and Mrs. Juanita Klota of South Bend, Ind.; one stepson, Valerian Stedman, Jr. of Niles; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Aline Cody of Niles, and a brother Everett Morrison of Hot Springs, Ark.

There will be no visitation

Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home.

Bradley Trent Williams, 25, died early Thursday, April 20, in Allentown, Pa.

He is survived by his mother, Judith Thorrez; his father, Ronald Williams, a sister, Brandi Williams; stepmother, Kathleen Williams; and a stepsister, Amber Gushrowski, all of West Bloomfield; paternal grandparents, Russell and Eleanor Williams of Niles; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Thorrez of Cedar Lake.

Bradley lived at 108 S. Main St., Alburtis, Pa., and was born in Berrien Center on July 18, 1969. He was employed by the Knoll Furniture Co., in East Greenville, Pa., for the last 4 years.

A memorial service will be held at the Niels Seventh Day Adventist church at 1105 Grant St., Niles, Monday at 2:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

The family has asked that donations be made in Brad's memory to the American Diabetes Association, rather than sending flowers.

The Sell Funeral Home in Allentown, Pa. Was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Charles Samuel Robinson, 71, of 17 N. 7th St., Niles, will be Monday at 10 a.m. At Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan by Speaker Mike Stinbeck.

Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Mr. Robinson died at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, at Pawating Hospital in Niles.

He was born May 12, 1913, in Tanner, Ala., and had lived here since 1970, coming from Goshen.

Mr. Robinson was an army veteran, and attended Niles Congregation of Niles Jehovah Witness.

Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 at the funeral home.
