Niles in Brief: DEATH MRS. DAUGHERTY
Mrs. Clara Daugherty, wife of Bert Daugherty, residing on R.R. 2, Niles, died this morning at 5:15 at Pawating hospital. Mrs. Daugherty had an operation two weeks ago. The deceased was 51 years of age. Besides her husband she is survived by four sisters,and two brothers. The funeral services will be held from the Rutherford funeral home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Slee of the Methodist church will conduct the funeral services. Burial will be made in Silver Brook cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until the hour of the service. Two of the sisters of the deceased reside in Dowagiac. They are Mrs. Guy Berling and Mrs. Edward Slosson.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W.W. Slee this afternoon for Mrs. B. Daugherty, R.R. 2, Niles, who died early Thursday morning following an operation. Mrs. Daugherty was formerly Miss Clara Behnke of Dowagiac. She leaves her husband, four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. E.P. Slosson, Mrs. Guy Burling and Mrs. Jacob Born of this city; Mrs. Coral Fitzsimmons and Arthur Behnke of Battle Creek and Charles Behnke of Detroit.
