BERT HIBBERD, 57, CLAIMED BY DEATH

French Paper Mill Employe Stricken After 2-Weeks' Illness of Pneumonia

 

Bert Hibberd, 57, died Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Pawating hospital, after two weeks' illness of pneumonia.  Mr. Hibberd came to Niles from Summitville, Tenn., 13 years ago.  He was an employe of the French Paper company.

Mr. Hibberd was born in Cleveland, Ohio, July 28, 1878.  He was married Oct. 29, 1905, to Miss Ada Mears at Manchester, Tenn.  Mrs. Hibberd and six children survive.  The children, all Niles residents, are: Mrs. Clayton Walker, Ann, Ulysses, Robert, Billie and Edna Hibberd.

He leaves also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hibberd; two brothers, Arthur and Walter, and three sisters, Lottie Hibberd, Mrs. Maude Vandergriff, and Mrs. Eady Smith, all of Summitville, Tenn.

The body was taken to the family home, 210 Elm street. Funeral services will be held in the Rutherford mortuary Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, the Rev. T.O Lee officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
