TROOPERS CONFIRM CAUSE OF DEATH OF FOUR-YEAR-OLD-GIRL
Niles State Police today confirm that Julia Chorba, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Chorba, rural route six, was fatally injured Friday afternoon when she fell out of the car door as her mother was backing from their driveway.
According to an attending physician, the child apparently struck the car door as she fell and was not run over by the vehicle. The accident occurred about 5:15 p.m., as Mrs. Chorba was backing out of the driveway.
The child died at 10:25 p.m. Friday in Pawating Hospital while undergoing surgery after she had been admitted with internal injuries. Funeral services were held today in the First Presbyterian Church.
