Fred Oscar Spenner, 2471 Yankee street, died suddenly at 11 p.m. Monday in his home.
He is survived by his widow, Esther; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Hess, Niles, Mrs. Maxine Benjamin, Berrien Springs, and Miss Margaret Spenner, at home; and to sons, Theodore Spenner, Niles, a member of the local fire department, and Richard Spenner, at home.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. John Mickow, Niles, Mrs. Walter Gunther, Gas City, Ind., Mrs. George Esh, Mishawaka, Ind., (illegible text) and three brothers, August and Paul Spenner, Niles, and Carl Spenner, Edwardsburg.
Spenner was born on Sept. 9, 1885[sic], at English Lake, Ind., and had lived in Niles around 40 years. He was a well-driller.
Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. H. A. Meussling, pastor of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
