NILES—Lloyd E. Whitcomb, 71, of 1604 Regent St., died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday at the Univeristy of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, after an extended illness.
He was the retired owner of Feaser Whitcomb, Inc., and was born July 24, 1904 in Elkhart, Ind. He had lived in Niles since 1940, coming from Elkhart.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a stepson, Phillip A. Parker of River Vale, N.H.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Cluen of Elkhart, and Mrs. F.W. Boville of Prescott, Ariz.
and eight step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. John R. Wyngarden of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Pawating Hospital Scholarship Fund or the Berrien County Cancer Service Inc.
