Mrs. Catherine Asmus Dies; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Catherine Geiger Asmus, 80, 1708 North Eleventh street, died at 5 o'clcok Friday afternoon at the home.
The deceasd is survived by five children: Mrs. Rose Evick, Mrs. Delia Punderson, Charles Asmus, all of Niles; and John Asmus, Kalamazoo; a sister, Mrs. Rose Fowler, Niles; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death.
Mrs. Asmus was born Sept. 16, 1854, at Jersery City, N.Y. She was married to August Asmus at Three Rivers on May 13, 1875.
A short funeral service will be held for the children at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, followed by services at 2:30 o'clock in the St.John's Evangelical church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
Members of the Ladies' Aid society of St. John's church will attend the funeral in a body.
