Elmer Weltzien, 60, of 618 Clay street, died early today at Pawating Hospital. He had been ill one year.
Weltzien was born in South Bend, Ind., on Nov. 14, 1892. He lived here 42 years and was employed by The Kawneer Company.
Surviving are his widow, Gertrude; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Freyer, of Niles; three grandchildren; one brother, Frederick Weltzien of South Bend; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Whittaker and Mrs. Anna Herring, both of Los Angeles, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kiger Funeral Home with the Rev. G.A. Steeby, pastor of the First EUB church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
