William H. Taylor, 83, of 1122 N. 8th Street, died at Pawating Hospital after an extended illness.
A retired farmer, he had resided here since 1968 when he relocated from Tuskegee, Alabama. He was born on Jan. 3, 1897, and was married on Nov. 11, 1918 to Lucille Howard who died in 1968.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Taylor of Jeffersonville, Ga., and William J. Howard of Belleglade, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Flemmie Hatten of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Susie Stungis of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Lillian Billups and Mrs. Olvia Freeman, both of Niles; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Franklin A.M.E. Church. rev. Charles E. Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
