Mrs. Maude Blanchard, 89, of 2405 Yankee St., died at 4:55 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital, where she had been a patient three days.
Mrs. Blanchard was born Dec. 24, 1874, in Davenport, Iowa. She came to Niles from Armour, S.D., 50 years ago. Her husband, Almond, died in 1953.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Gussie Blanchard, at home; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Eernis, Corsica, S.D.; and three brothers, Frank Doty, Marysville, Calif., Clarence Doty, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Harry Doty, Corsica.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home. Dr. Maurice McKean, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officate[sic].
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the funeral home.
