ELIZABETH HIGBEE DIES IN BERTRAND
Elizabeth R. Higbee, 79, died this morning at 2 in the Bertrand home in which she was born and had lived all her life. She had been ill one year.
Surviving are a grandson, James Bookwalter, and a great granddaughter, Mary Joan Bookwalter, Route 4, South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Amy Timoney, South Bend, and a brother, Schuyler Higbee, Silver Lake, Kans. She was born Dec. 13, 1862.
The body will be taken to the home from the Price and Kiger funeral home where friends may call. Requiem high mass will be observed Friday morning at 9 in St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

HIGBEE FUNERAL
Requiem high mass for Elizabeth Higbee, lifelong resident of Bertrand, was conducted this morning at 9 in St. Mary's church with burial in Silverbrook cemetery. Pallbearers included Russell Keim, Willard Schroeder, Peter Brothers and Byron Rosenberger, Bertrand, and Murray Henderson and E.N. Spahr, South Bend.
