Charles Smith, 69, of 704 North Fifteenth street, died suddenly at his home today at 5 a..m.
Smith was born at Kalamazoo on June 17, 1882. He was employed at the Simplicity Pattern company here. He was married to Ruth Gleason, April 18, 1939, in Niles. She survives.
Also surviving are: a stepson, Francis Gleason, of Niles; two sisters, Bemma L. Smith, of Niles, and Mrs. Annie Rhodes, of Burbank, Cal.; and one grandson.
Friends may call at the Kiger funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Verne Barr, pastor of the First Church of Christ, officiation[sic] Burial will be in the Silverbrook cemetery.
