Niles--Mrs. Jennie E. Erickson, 99, of 604 S. St. Joseph Ave., died at 9:20 a.m. Monday in Pawating Hospital, where she had been a patient since Saturday.
Born Sept. 29, 1871 in Sweden, Mrs. Erickson had lived here since 1904, coming from Shelby, Ind. Her husband, Benjamin, died in 1952. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Schuyler and Edward L. of Niles, Charles O. of Dayton, Ohio, Elmer B. of Gary, Ind., and Chester J. of Ionia, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Emily Stokely and Mrs. Howard Pugh, both of Niles, and Mrs. Joseph Baidinger of Mishawaka; two brothers, Ernest Larson of Frankfort, Ind., and John Larson of Hammond, Ind.; 19 grandchildren, 46 greatgrandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Pifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Orin Bailey of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
