Mrs. Frank Young, of Barron Lake, Taken by Death
Mrs. Katharine Young, 62, who was born and had spent her entire life in the Barron lake district, died at 6:50 this morning in Pawating hospital. She had been ill one month.
She was married in Niles in 1898 to Mr. Young, who, with one daughter and five sons, survives. She leaves her daughter, Florence, at home; and her sons, all of Niles, are Russell, Earl, Claude, Max and Eugene.
Other survivors are eight grandchildren; three brothers, Hugh and Edson Hagadon, Kalamazoo, and Lloyd Hagadon, Jackson, and a sister, Miss Florence Pruyn, of Oregon.
She was born in Howard township Nov. 17, 1878.
Friends of the family will be received at the Price and Kiger funeral home. Arrangements for the funeral services are incomplete.
