Services Saturday for George Hess, Rural Route Three
George L. Hess, 63, died this morning at 1:30 at his home on rural route three, after an illness of nearly three years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Etta Hess; one son, LaVerne Hess, 36 River street; one step-daughter Mr.[sic] Marleita Cripe, Niles; one sister, Miss Florence Hess, Niles; and four grandchildren.
He was born in Niles Aug. 30 1882, and was married to Mrs. Etta Briney, Nov. 11, 1934.
Services will be conducted at the Pifer funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Theo Eisen of the Evangelical and Reformed church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home.
