Harold Beall, 48, stricken Sunday.
Harold Beall, 48, lifelong resident of Niles, died Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in his home, 16 North Seventh Street, he had been ill about six months.
Born in Niles Nov. 30, 1894, he had been employed 21 years in the office of the National Standard Company. He was treasurer of the Elks lodge and was a past master of St. Joseph Valley lodge No. 4 F. and A.M. He also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is his widow, the former Maybelle Eunice Perry, Elkhart, to whom he was married in South Bend in 1918.
He also leaves three children, Donald Eugene Beall, aviation cadet in training at Maxwell Field, Ala.; Pvt. Harold Keith Beall, Miami, Fla., and a daughter, Nancy Jean Beall, at home.
Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Lillian Beall, Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin S. Williams, Jackson; Mrs. Genevieve M. Porter of Indio, Calif. and Mrs. Clay Young, San Antonio, Texas, and three brothers, Lloyd M. Beall, Northville, Mich.; Lieut. Irl V. Beall, Lakewood, O and Seaman Merwin F. Beall, Ellis Island, NY.
Friend’s may call Tuesday afternoon and night in the Price and Kiger chapel. The funeral is set for Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Elks temple, when officers of the lodge will officiate. Member of the Masonic Lodge will conduct the committal rites at Silverbrook cemetery.
The body will lie in state Wednesday afternoon in the Elks Temple from 1 until the services.
