Word was received in Niles today of the death this morning of Miss Helen Kay, for a number of years a teacher in the Niles public schools. Miss Kay completed her work in the Niles schools last June on account of ill health, and went to St. Paul to the home of her sister, Mrs. Lyle Bacon. She had since steadily failed.
The body will be brought to Niles for burial, and although complete arrangements have not been made the funeral services will probably be held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian church. Burial will take place in the family lot in Silver Brook cemetery.
Mrs. Bacon and Miss Grace Kay, sisters of the deceased, are expected in Niles tomorrow.
A few weeks ago Miss Isabel Kay died from injuries received in an automobile accident in St. Paul.
Funeral services for Miss Helen Kay were held this afternoon at the Presbyterian church, Rev. H.T. Scherer officiating. Mrs. Albert Vetter and Mrs. Rex Leach sang. Burial took place in Silver Brook cemetery. Mrs. Lyle Bacon and Miss Grace Kay, sisters of the deceased, accompanied the body to Niles from St. Paul yesterday, and Alfred Kay, a brother of the deceased arrived here this morning from Detroit.
