BUCHANAN—Bertinius Larsen, 91, of 454 East Front Street, did at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, following an illness of several months.
Mr. Larsen was born July 6, 1866 in Porsgrunn, Norway. He married Jacobina Gulbransen in Chicago in 1884. She died November 24, 1940.
He was a life member of the Niles Lodge No. Four of F & AM, the Niles Shrine club, and the Knights Templar of Niles.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roy F. Wright, Buchanan; Mrs. Henrietta Kiblinger, Niles; a son, Charles Larsen, Coloma; and brother, Hans J. Larsen, Porsgrunn, Norway; a sister, Mrs. Ingeborg Larsen, Skein, Norway; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., in the Swem Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert V. Gouwens of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Silverbook Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Funeral home.
