Earl F. Minnear, 58, of 1207 Cedar St., died today at 7:45 a.m., in Pawating Hospital.

Born in Escanaba, Sept. 6, 1908, he moved her 30 years ago from Iron Mountain, and made his occupation as a tool and die designer with Buchanan Metal Products.

A veteran of World War I[sic], he was a member of the St. Joseph Valley F & AM vice president of the Niles Art Association and a member of the National Guard.

His wife, Calista and son, Paul are among his survivors.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m., in the Pifer Funeral Home with Rev. John MacLachlan of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m., Saturday.

His wife, Calista and son, Paul are among his survivors.

An additional survivor was listed today for Earl F. Minnear, 58, of 1207 Cedar St., who died Friday. He is a foster son, David Crawford, Seattle, Wash.

Note: Obituary typo says Earl F. Minnear served in World War I. That likely a typo, he served in World War II, U.S. Army, Tech 4, 219th Heavy Ordinance Maintenance Co. from 1944-1946.
