Mrs. Velma (Steiner) Wilson, 66, 1210 N. 7th St., died at 10:50 a.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Neil Goodhand, 977 S. 13th St. She had been in failing health since last September.

Mrs. Wilson was born Jan 1, 1895, in Dowagiac and had lived most of her lifetime in Niles where she was a member of the Lady Elks, the Pythian Sisters, the Grand Independent Auxilary[sic] of the Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers, the American Legion Auxilary[sic] and Mothers of World War II.

Surviving are: her husband, Arthur H. Wilson, three children, Mrs. Goodhand, William and James Steiner, both Niles; a step-son, Ollie Steiner, Niles; five grandchildren; a brother, Henry Moore, Mishawaka, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Wolfred Parren, Cassopolis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Pifer Funeral Home with the Rev. John P. MacLachlan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends are being received at the funeral home.
