Thomas H. Myers Dies of Illness Lasting 4 Years.
Thomas H. Myers, 71, who had lived in and near Niles for more than 25 years, died at his home, 1445 Lake street, at 7:45 this morning, following an illness of about four years. Bronchial asthma was the cause of his death.
Mr. Myers came to Niles from Elkhart and most of his life here was spent as a farm laborer. He was born in Logansport, Ind., April 8, 1864.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eva Myers, five daughters and a son: Mrs. James Baker, Mishawaka; Mrs. Robert Long, Goshen; Mrs. Louis Blender, Elkhart; Mrs. Sanford Merle, Niles; Samuel Myers, Niles, and Lillian Mae Myers, at home.
Two surviving sisters are Mrs. William Hoover and Mrs. Madison Kassler, Elkhart.
The body was taken to the Rutherford mortuary where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
