Lute J. Schneider, 310 North Thirteenth street, died at 4:45 a.m. today at Pawating Hospital. He had been ill since Sunday.
Surviving are his widow, Hattie; one brother, William H. Schneider, of South Bend,and two sisters, Mrs. William A. Reum and Mrs. Frank L. Zechlin, of Niles.
He was born in Niles Feb. 16, 1891, and had lived here all his life. He married Hattie Williams on Sept. 21, 1920, and been an inspector for The Kawneer Company for the past 42 years.
Schneider was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Niles Elks Lodge and the Kawneer 25-Year Club.
Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. [?] Meussling, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
