NILES—Edmund Joseph Raderstorf, 61, of 2033 Ontario Rd., died at 11 a.m. Monday at the Paul Stephans Nursing home after an illness of 10 years.
A member of St. Mark's catholic Church, he was a custodian and bus driver for Brandywine Schools. He was born May 6, 1974[sic] in Pulaski County, Ind., and had lived here since 1949 coming from Lakeville, Ind.
On Sept. 3, 1938 in Longansport[sic], Ind., he married the former Elsie Evelyn Bratsber, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Herbert J. and Gene E., both of Niles; three daughters, Mrs. carol Cotes and Mrs. Sandra Barns, both of Mishawaka, Ind., and Mrs. Linda Banner of north Liberty, Ind.; three brothers, Israel, Howard and A.L., all of Niles; three sisters, Mrs. Lowell Boyd of Niles, Mrs. Robert Sweeney of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Garold Kerber of Anaheim, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julius Hengesbach, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Swen Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
