Krassow Child Still Critical, Hospital Says
Little Renee Krassow, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Krassow, Bell School road, who was admitted to Pawating Hospital, Sunday, after she was severely burned with hot water, remains in an unchanged condition today, according to hospital authorities.
She suffered second degree burns from her neck to her thighs and on right arm and shoulder and has been reported in critical condition since Sunday.
The mishap occurred about 6:45 p.m Sunday when her mother was getting her ready for a bath and the child tumbled backward into a pail of scalding water.

Burns Prove Fatal to 3-Year-Old Niles Girl
Renee Krassow, 3, of rural route six, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Pawating Hospital as a result of severe body burns suffered when she fell into a pail of hot water in her home on Sunday, Jan. 3.
The child sustained second degree burns from her neck to her thighs and her right arm and shoulder when she backed into a pail of hot water while her mother was preparing her for a bath.
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Krassow; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Krassow, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. William York, of Buchanan; two sisters, Marilyn and Julane, and two brothers, Thomas and James, all at home.
The girl was born August 19, 1950, in Niles, and had lived here all her life.
Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Paul Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
