Thomas Kay, 78, Dies at Home Here Today
Thomas Kay, 78, 926 North Fifth street, a resident of Niles for 20 years, died at 4 o'clock this morning at his home after an illness of five weeks.
He was born Dec. 1, 1856 at Brighton, Ont.
Surviving are his widow, Maude; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Kuebbeler, Toledo, O.; four sons, James Kay, Niles, John Kay, Walkertown, Ind., and George Kay, Chicago; two sisters, Miss Ellen Kay and Miss Maggie Baughton, Branford, Ont.; and five brothers, John Kay, Harrisburg, Ont., Archie and David Kay, Ann Arbor, Andrew Kay, St. Louis, Mo., and James Kay, Rockford, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Troost and Turner funeral home with the Rev. G.W. Simon, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
The body was to be taken to the home at 4 o'clock this afternoon where it will remain until time for the services Thursday afternoon.
