RESIDENT HERE 50 YEARS DIES FRIDAY
Jacob Lewis Clevenger, 69 of 506 Cherry street, for 50 years a resident of Niles and railway carpenter in the bridge department of Michigan Central for 30 years, died at 5 pm. Friday in the Kalamazoo hospital where he had been ill six months.
He was born in North Manchester, Ind., Jan. 31, 1875. His wife, Edith, died in 1940.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James Shipperley, Niles; a son, John Clevenger, Niles; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Hefling, Mendon, and Mrs. Audrey Weidelman, Toledo, O., and a brother, William Clevenger, North Manchester, Ind.
Friends may call at the Price and Kiger funeral chapel where Dr. Guy W. Simon will officiate at services at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be made in Silverbrook cemetery.
