MRS. EMMA COOK TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Emma Cook, 64, of 512 Grant street, died in Pawating hospital Friday afternoon at 4:12. She had been ill since the latter part of November.

Mrs. Cook was born April 16, 1876, in La Porte, Ind., and came to Niles from Michigan City 37 years ago.

Surviving are her father, Charles Brockman, Battle creek; two sons, Howard Cook, of Niles and Lawrence Cook, Galien; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Calder, Niles; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Adams, Niles and Mrs. Cora Shields, Battle Creek; a brother, Arthur Brockman, Kalamazoo; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home, where services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 4 by the Rev. J. Kenneth Hoffmaster, pastor of the First Methodist church.  Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the Daughters of America and the Royal Neighbors.
