Clifford E. Thomas, 49, of 512 Grant street, died suddenly at 10 a.m. Sunday morning in a hospital at Ann Arbor.
Thomas was born June 14, 1903, in Mt. Pelier, Ind., and came here from Portland, Ind. 24 years ago.
While in Niles he was employed as a barber.
Surviving are: his wife, Vanrhie, his mother, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Niles; five children, Daniel and Patricia, both at home, and Clifford Jr., Robert and Mrs. Robert Johnson, all Niles; two brothers, John, Chicago,and Frank, Portland, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. John Farabaugh, South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday in the Kiger Funeral Home with the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Women of Moose are requested to meet at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home to attend rites for Thomas.
